On March 9, 2022, our community lost a warrior and gained an Angel. We have all followed Megan Bugg’s journey over the past 7 years and watched as the village joined in her fight and fundraising efforts. It’s amazing what small towns can achieve together. As we keep her family and friends in our thoughts and prayers, the village would like to continue with her mission and keep her legacy alive by raising awareness of childhood cancer research related to Rhabdomyosarcoma. Megan’s passion was for a researcher solely focused on finding less toxic and more effective treatments for RMS. To read more about Megan’s journey and caring heart, please see this article from the local newspaper. Coal City Courant
